FAQs
Is Pola tooth whitening safe and comfortable for my patients?
Absolutely. Clinical studies have confirmed the safety of bleaching with carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide, especially when administered by a dental professional. Our Pola Rapid system contains built-in desensitising properties, safeguarding patients’ teeth and gums with Pola Desensitising Technology (PDT). This technology, combined with a neutral pH and fluoride content, minimises post-operative sensitivity and reduces the risk of gum irritation or long-term damage.
How quickly will my patients see results using pola?
Pola Rapid contains the fastest bleach available to safely whiten your patient’s teeth in just 30 minutes at a neutral pH to protect their teeth and gums. With no mixing or lights required – the entire treatment lasts only 45 minutes.
For Pola Day and Pola Night take-home whitening systems, optimal results typically appear within 5 to 14 days.
Are there any patient side effects to whitening with Pola?
Following the dental professional’s instructions and using Pola products correctly usually results in minimal side effects. Some patients may experience temporary sensitivity, which typically subsides after several hours of stopping treatment, but can be managed with shorter or less frequent wear times or by using a desensitising gel like Pola Soothe.
Why should dentists choose the Pola Advanced Tooth Whitening System?
The Pola system offers convenience, effectiveness, and ease of use for both dental professionals and patients. Treatments are quick, with Pola Rapid requiring only 30 minutes (45 minutes total treatment time) and Pola Day and Pola Night requiring a simple consultation and impression-taking to create the custom-trays. With Pola Luminate, it’s even quicker to dispense – show your patient how to use it, and off they go.
Marketing and educating patients about Pola are made simple with our FREE marketing materials and downloadable resources, including consent forms and step-by-step guides.
Are there any legal aspects of whitening treatment that patients should know?
Introducing the Pola Advanced Tooth Whitening System into your practice is about more than enhancing smiles; it’s about growing your business while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
It’s essential to inform patients that only dental professionals registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) can legally perform tooth whitening procedures. These professionals can prescribe treatments containing up to 6% hydrogen peroxide and 16% carbamide peroxide, ensuring effective results within EU regulations.
Actively promoting whitening treatments in your practice using our customisable marketing materials helps patients make informed decisions about their options.
